I have had a strange thing happen to me during the past thirty days.... I have had one brand new [first time refilled] and two other cartridges that I have refilled before with out troubles not being "seen" by my printer-- a Lexmark Z45 --in either cartridge carrier!?! I can install a new factory unwrapped cartridge and all is well.. I have tried cleaning the refilled cartridges and the print cartridge carrier with a little luck.. one of my Photo cartridges is seen but.... during a print run it seems to quit printing and then start printing again.. [A] I have noticed that the contact area seems to be well worn.... missing copper ... is there any way to replace these contact surface? [B] The cartridge is not getting primed correctly with ink during the print job ...How can I test the priming?? Is this totally electronic or is this mechanical? {since things work with a new cartridge I do not think that this is what is wrong but want to ask] [B] Any other things that I can check?? Or are these cartridges at the end of their life cycle?? --David |
