David, It sounds like the paper you are using. You have confirmed this by saying the ink is fine on matte and normal paper. If you have a look at the print on the gloss paper you will see that the pigment ink sits on top of the paper, it does not soak in. The colours would be a dye based ink and so have different characteristics, and gives a different result to the black pigment ink. Peter. |
