HP 56 cartridge problems

	Hi, I got 2 units of HP 56 black from "A" shop and put in my HP fax 4255. Both cannot work...very unhappy about this and when out to buy from "B" shop. I return to office and try the "B" shop ink cartridge....it detected and running fine! So i have no choice and go back to "A" shop and ask for replacment or refund. The owner put my 2 cartridge in his HP 5550 printer and it is running fine!!! So what is the problem actually? Cartridge problem or printer problem??? What should i do with my 2 cartridges now? Pls someone give me some advise or solution!!! Thanks
