It seems that it begins to be a rummor about 56 type
cartridges. It is said that some printers burn a "jumper"
inside the cartridge printhead circuit. This, -it is said -
that renders these cartridges useless for some printers. I
don't know if it's true. In my opinion I don't think there
is something similar. I suspect most the bad contact
problems, than the above rummor. Till now, I never have
seen something similar.

The company that manufactures a machine (that reads the
"burned" cartridges) states:

</b>

I don't know the language to translate it, but an automatic translator gave:

<i>"...has its proven effectiveness, solving the problem of
bought cartridges burnt". </i> Another company that
distributes the above machine states: <i>"This is a simple
circuit tester with a built in program that will boot or
reset this counter bringing the cartridge back to life that
it "erases" the burned jumper".</i>
